What a month January is turning out to be! I am so excited to see how everyone has been doing on their goals. The participation and support that has been shown to everyone is amazing. It just goes to prove that the power of two is strong than the power of one!
One Long-Term Goal: Education Courses must be finished. Prep work must be completed before starting ProGen. I have to get organized. I’m also starting one new course titled, “Grandmothers, Mothers, and Daughters – Tracing Women” through the National Institute of Genealogical Studies. I’m so excited about this class because one of my research goals for 2012 is to trace my great-grandmother Hattie’s family She has several women that I’d like to learn more about, so this is going to be the perfect compliment to my research. Hopefully by moving forward on this course it will help me move forward on my larger research goal.
The main thing that I worked on last week was my coursework with the National Institute for Genealogical Studies. I did it! I finished Methodology 3 and have made great strides in finishing my Google for the Wise Genealogist course. It should be finished this week. That will leave me with a few weeks to focus on my course on tracing women before ProGen starts on 1 Feb. I’m so excited! Thanks to my new handy-dandy calendar (and my girls/guys of support!) I am staying on track. Now, if only the other areas of my life would fall into place as well!
My additional goal this week is to organize my workspace. A good workspace is so important, and I’m finding that the one that I have now is slowing me down rather than moving me forward. Though it wasn’t an original goal for January I’m choosing to focus on this during the week. Does anyone have any tips for organizing a workspace? I’d love to hear it! I’ll be sharing my final set up once it’s been put into place.
How did you do this week? What can we do to help support you?
