Using Social Media in Your Family History Research

By Stephanie Pitcher Fishman Presentations No Comments

It seems like everyone is on Facebook,  Pinterest, or Twitter these days. I am  – and I love them! But, do you use them in your family history research? Genealogists everywhere are, and you should, too!

Join me this Friday at the Ohio Genealogical Society Library to learn all about social media.

Description:

Many people use social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter to keep in touch with long-distance family, but can they really be useful in family history research? Find out how to connect to other genealogists, find cousins you never knew, and share information with loved ones in this online world. Though blogging will be discussed in brief, this workshop will take you beyond websites into the world of social media.

*Note: Attendees should be comfortable working online. A basic understanding of social media is helpful but not required.

For more information as well as a map to the library, visit my speaking calendar on my Presentations & Workshops page. I’ll see you on Friday!
